Coffee House Shaker
A 2 hour drive from Tokyo into the Nagano mountains you find Karuizawa, a mountain resort where well-off Tokyoites build stylish summer/winter houses and you can enjoy everything from skiing to mountain biking. On a small off road, a few kilometers from the central area you find this little coffee place, housed in an worn-down wooden building. The facade may be worn down but interior as well as coffee is great, and service leaves nothing to ask for.
